Addressing Housing Vulnerability
This Area of Inquiry aims to redefine and measure housing vulnerability in Canada using a capabilities framework, and to assess how community housing impacts tenant well-being. It will identify policy and operational changes to improve community housing’s ability to address housing vulnerability.

An environmental pragmatist by personal conviction, Meg seeks paths toward new directions for cities where more and more of us can experience sustainability and justice.

Yushu’s research focuses on housing and community issues against the backdrop of urbanization and globalization. Her empirical research examines the spatial and temporal patterns of housing stratification, sense of home, and social relations that constitute urban neighbourhoods. She pays a special attention to communities of immigrants, low-income populations, and ethnic minorities.

BC Housing administers subsidized housing across the province of British Columbia. They also carry out research and education programming, provide data, and work to strengthen the community housing sector.
Hey Neighbour Collective works with residents of community housing buildings to learn about how to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
The Institute for Research on Public Policy seek to improve public policy in Canada by generating research, providing insight and influencing debate on current and emerging policy issues facing Canadians and their governments.
